The Strategic Advisor (f/m/d) SAP Ecosystem & Business Innovation is responsible for building and operating a customer-facing innovation frontend for SAP ecosystem topics with a focus on SAP BTP, SAP Cloud, Clean Core, Data Sovereignty, Manufacturing-X / Catena-X, and related business innovation opportunities.
The role converts high-value access to SAP, customers, industry partners, research institutions, and the Silicon Saxony ecosystem into validated customer needs, actionable innovation briefs, qualified opportunities, and executable initiatives for NTT DATA Business Solutions.
As Strategic Advisor (f/m/d) SAP Ecosystem & Business Innovation you will be responsible for:
- Build and maintain a focused network across SAP, Silicon Saxony, Smart Systems Hub, SAP Labs Dresden, research institutions, industry partners, and selected customer stakeholders.
- Identify relevant SAP ecosystem developments and translate them into business-relevant opportunity areas for NTT DATA Business Solutions.
- Establish high-value connections between customers, SAP stakeholders, ecosystem partners, and internal NTT DATA Business Solutions teams.
- Represent NTT DATA Business Solutions in selected SAP, innovation, industry, or ecosystem formats where participation supports defined business objectives.
Customer-Facing Innovation Frontend
- Design and facilitate high-value customer workshops, executive roundtables, innovation sessions, and co-creation formats.
- Use customer and ecosystem interactions to validate concrete business problems, decision drivers, and potential demand.
- Ensure that workshops and events are linked to defined target accounts, business hypotheses, follow-up owners, and next steps.
- Convert customer and ecosystem input into clear opportunity statements and actionable next steps.
SAP BTP, Cloud, Data Sovereignty and Business Innovation Advisory
- Provide strategic advisory input on SAP BTP, SAP Cloud, Clean Core, Data Sovereignty, Manufacturing-X / Catena-X, industrial data spaces, and related business model innovation topics.
- Assess the relevance of SAP and ecosystem developments for NTT DATA Business Solutions’ managed services and cloud portfolio.
- Support the translation of technical and ecosystem trends into business value propositions, customer narratives, and commercial opportunity hypotheses.
Opportunity Development and Commercialization
- Develop Innovation Opportunity Briefs for selected initiatives, including customer problem, target segment, SAP / ecosystem relevance, NTT DATA Business Solutions value proposition, delivery assumptions, commercial approach, and next steps.
- Prioritize opportunities based on customer relevance, strategic fit, delivery feasibility, and commercial potential.
- Work with Sales / Account Management to qualify follow-ups and convert validated interest into structured opportunity development.
- Work with Product Management to assess standardization potential, portfolio fit, and go-to-market relevance.
Internal Activation and Execution Handover
- Partner with CoE SAP as the technical execution and prototyping unit for validated initiatives.
- Provide CoE SAP and Delivery with structured briefings rather than unqualified ideas or generic innovation topics.
- Align with Delivery on feasibility, capability gaps, delivery risks, and effort assumptions.
- Ensure that each prioritized initiative has a named internal owner, documented next steps, and a clear decision path.
Governance and Performance Management
- Maintain a transparent pipeline of ecosystem contacts, customer interactions, workshops, opportunity briefs, and internal handovers.
- Prepare monthly status updates for the agreed governance forum.
- Escalate blockers outside the role’s direct control with documented impact, proposed options, and decision requirements.
- Ensure that performance against the 90-, 180-, and 360-day gates is evidence-based and reviewable.

The role requires senior-level experience and credibility across SAP ecosystem development, product and architecture topics, customer-facing innovation, and commercial opportunity shaping.
- Deep understanding of the SAP ecosystem, SAP BTP, SAP Cloud, Clean Core, and related transformation topics.
- Experience with industrial data spaces, Data Sovereignty, Manufacturing-X, Catena-X, or comparable initiatives.
- Proven ability to work across technology, architecture, business development, product, and delivery stakeholders.
- Strong customer-facing workshop, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to convert ambiguous innovation topics into structured opportunity briefs and commercial next steps.
- Strong network orientation with disciplined follow-up and documentation.
- Ability to operate effectively in an advisory capacity without relying on formal line authority.
